Sony Unveils New Range of Home Theatre Systems

Sony has introduced a brand new line-up of its Home Theatre Systems.

The new range of Home Theatre Systems in the DAV DZ range come equipped with ‘USB Play’, ‘Audio Return Channel’ and ‘DVD Up scale’ function to provide high quality sound and allow Full HD equivalent 1080p resolution Video from even a Standard Definition Input.

The USB Play/Ripping option allows users to play as well as record to a USB device. With FM recording, users can record FM songs on the USB device. Sony has also introduced an ‘Audio Return Channel’ feature that eliminates the need for additional audio connections as it can receive audio signals via single HDMI connection from the TV to the DAV system.

The new DAV-DZ series can receive audio signals via a single HDMI connection between an Audio Return Channel-enabled TV and Home Theatre System.

The ‘DVD Up scale’ function converts Standard Definition Signal (480) to 1080p full High Definition Video signal, which means users can enjoy full HD equivalent Video even from non HD content.

Priced between Rs. 16, 990 and Rs. 29,990, the new range of Home Theatres systems will be available across all Sony Center stores and other major electronic outlets across India from 25th February, 2010.
