Samsung India Introduces its Most Affordable 3G Full Touch Handset – Star Nano 3G

Samsung Electronics announced the launch of its most affordable, full touch 3G enabled handset, Star Nano 3G (S3370). The compact Samsung Star Nano 3G has a curvilinear design with advanced connectivity and seamless social communication.

Designed aesthetically with a compact and curvilinear design, a large 2.6” screen and with a 4 page menu, the Samsung Star Nano 3G offers a great resolution and a sense of elegance to its user. The phone has advanced connectivity with 384kbps DL/UL (3G ready), Pop Up SNS and fast multimedia downloads. The Touchwiz 2.0 Plus in the phone ensures seamless navigation home screen widgets, Gesture control and an interesting UI.

The advanced SNS 2.0 feature of the phone offers users intuitive social communications and allows them to connect with friends and family while being on the move through social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, YouTube etc. The pop-up SNS feature along with Mail, Photo and Profile Toolbars help users to frequently update their status and carry on conversation with their peer group. The phone also has instant chat messenger facilities like GTalk, AIM, Palringo Chat and helps connect friends on one screen with unified messaging service. New Dual-SIM, Touchscreen Handset From Samsung Announced

Samsung Electronics has added to its portfolio of touchscreen dual-SIM handsets with the launch of the B5722.

The Samsung B5722 allows users to pre- set the SIM change-over time automatically, depending on economical operator tariffs or to ensure a work/personal life balance. The dedicated SIM switching key and intuitive touch interface makes the changeover a seamless experience. The handset also provides the added benefit of one touch access through 6 SNS widgets on the home screen. The phone also offers instant messaging services through Palringo messenger which helps users to connect to Google Talk, AIM, ICQ and supports exchange of text messages through Bluetooth Messenger.

The phone also offers a 2.8” QVGA full touch screen display, 3 MP camera with image editor, Bluetooth, hi-speed USB , 8 GB expandable memory 1200 mAH battery, and 13.4 hours of talk time. The new B5722 also provides 3D sound output through DNSe. Users can tune into FM radio for audio entertainment and can continue to listen to the background music even as they access various phone applications. The phone also comes equipped with an advanced mobile tracker, which has been introduced for the first time for the Dual SIM touch phone segment.

Samsung Launches Yet Another Omnia Handset in India

In keeping with its brand positioning of ‘NEXT is What’, Samsung has strengthened its Omnia series with the launch of the Omnia II–GT I8000. The I8000 looks exactly like the Samsung Jet with a larger display.

Announcing the launch, Ranjeet Yadav, Director IT and Telecom, Samsung Electronics said, “Omnia II is designed to take user experience to the next level. It captures our vision to provide phones to the consumers which are not only great looking but provide even greater functionality and usability using latest technologies and messaging platforms”.

Samsung Launches Dual LCD Digicams

Samsung India unveiled its new, compact camera range in the Indian market. The World First Samsung 2View Camera range represented by ST550 and ST500 give consumers a whole new approach to personal photography. Samsung’s ST550 and ST500 truly put the photographer in the picture. The ST550 and ST500 feature Dual LCDs, with one LCD being on the front and another one, on the back.

“Today’s new Digital camera range launch is an important milestone for Samsung, reinforcing our position as a leading innovator in the digital camera market and setting a new benchmark for digital camera technology,” states Mr. R. Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics Ltd.

The growing popularity of social networking sites has given rise to the self-portrait or profile picture with many consumers turning their digital camera on themselves to become the subject of their photo.

The 1.5” LCD now on the front of the ST550 and ST500 allows consumers to take these self-portraits and profile pictures with ease, showing the user exactly what the picture will look like, enabling the desired result every time. Incorporating a 3.5” wide, 1,152K resolution touch-screen LCD, the ST550 delivers one of the highest resolution screens available on a digital camera. Samsung Launches Lavender Series of LCD Monitors

Samsung India has announced the launch of a new series of LCD monitors – Samsung Lavender – in the Indian market.

The new Lavender series is available in screen sizes of 21.5-inches and 23-inches and features the Touch of Color (ToC) design, a contrast ratio of 50000:1, a response time of 2 ms; viewing angle of 170/160 and a 16:9 wide format panel that is made for multimedia and optimized for HD Content .

Ranjit Singh Yadav, Director – IT Business, Samsung India, said, “In keeping with the global and Indian market trends where the 16:9 Wide format display monitors are rapidly becoming popular with consumers, we have introduced our stylish Lavender series in the Indian market , in the over 20-inch screen size segment.”

The Lavender series has a slimmer neck compared to conventional models and has front OSD Touch buttons that emit red lighting from under the panel. Inspired by shifting colors of the sunset and ToC technology, the Lavender series eliminates the need of using non-biodegradable components in manufacturing of exterior panels, making it 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly.

The Lavender Series also consumes less than 1W of power in the Power Off mode making it more energy efficient than the conventional monitors and is wall mountable.

The 21.5-inch model costs Rs. 12,500 and 23-inch model costs Rs. 13,500.
